It's been "Coming soon" for ages. Anyone know when it'll actually open?

I was wondering that myself Harry. Sounds like it may be Dulochs answer to Brucefields Master Baits...a fishermans supply store. Wouldn't think there would be much call for that sort of thing in that soulless ghetto though

I'm surprised that anyone from Dulloch would take that bait as on the whole those who live in Dulloch are a smarter than those who live in other areas.

All necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused.

Duloch ;-)

It is indeed a chip shop but apparently a chip shop for the alleged posh folk. I live in Duloch. We're not posh in the slightest but I'm intrigued as it's a bit closer than Marini's or the Brig.

Another chippy that will open and close within a short period of time. Sadly the Brig is the big player around here.

I think you'll find that both Marinis & Hook & Catch are one and the same and are both owned by Tony Macaroni.

Suspected that as the place used to be Marinis. What I don't get is who owns the Marinis in Rosyth as the prices are slightly different to the Dunfermline one. The fish suppers from the Dunfermline Marinis are great. The standard one can be a bit wee but just right for me. Sometimes they stick a wee bit extra in too.

I didn't realise they're the same as Tony Macaroni though.

I like Armando's, its a very good chippy, and his missus Italian/ Scots accent always make me smile. I actually prefer Gennaro's though, probably still the best chippy in the area. Gennaro sadly passed away a couple of years ago, but the people that run it now are almost as good. Gennaro was Armando's brother too

Only thing worth mentioning about Armandos for those going for the first time, it's cash only and be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Is worth it though.
