I'm having a bit of bother printing stuff off, using my old PC. It almost always fails to print straight away, only to then print the document at a later date, when I've forgotten all about it. The latest example is some boarding cards I tried to print almost 6 weeks ago.

My son in law says I've got a queuing virus. Can't say I've ever heard of it.

So rumours of your short term memory loss are not without foundation GG ?

Try removing the printer drivers and checking online for more up to date versions on the printer manufacturers website.

Just an idea.

Find the make and model number of the printer on the manufacturer's website and re-install the printer drivers.

Thanks for your help and advice, folks. Much appreciated. I forgot to add that I get a "communication error" message. I'll get ma boy to look at it over the week-end, as he's coming through for THE game. Name point in having a dug and barking yersel'.....

My PC and printer are getting on a bit - too embarrassed to say just how old - but I've earmarked my next birthday (which is a bit of milestone or should that be millstone?) as the time to treat myself. Not far away now and a bit depressing, but at least I'm still younger than VEE.........😄

Sometimes it's a firmware or driver update that is needed. Printers are fussy with operating system versions that will work fine until you upgrade. Pretty cheap nowadays comparatively to a few years back so hopefully you will get to treat yourself. Have fun celebrating your birthday when it comes.

Agreed....and all the "are you sure you really want to use non genuine ink cartridge?" warnings are out of order.

Bloody scam.

The Pro-Jet brand have always worked on my Epson RX420, not expensive and easy enough to find.
