Ceramic Tile Warehouse (if it still exists). We got our kitchen wall tiles from Homebase.

There is a new place in Elgin Industrial Estate near Ceramic Experience/Howdens. My husband is a tiler/handyman and he is really impressed with the tiles there. He's sent a few clients down for a look and they have been impressed. The tiles are quality and good to work with. It's called ' the Tile doc'. The boys used to work for Ceramic tile Warehouse and have started out on their own. (Ceramic tile Warehouse is still open too though).

I can recommend wickes although there is not one in dunfermline. Much cheaper than the usual tile places and the tiles are top notch and much much cheaper.....

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

Hope a Wickes opens in the Halbeath extension. B&Q is too small and Homebase is like B&M crossed with Argos. Maybe it'll change with the Aussie owners.
